The calm after the storm
It’s March, and I don’t how could I forget that when the weather changes, colds and allergies arrive at the door with express delivery. I was so looking forward to this bright sunny weather and higher temperatures (Im writing this while outside the temperature is “feels like 2” windy and rainy).
This week from Japan
Everything was great until it decided to rain for 4 days straight. Not like a shower rain, no. It was mad rain, with winds and nonsense. The dog refused to go out to relieve himself, then once I got the dog out the door, T refused to go out because it was too cold, then the fake grass from the garden blew out. That kind of a week!
New Start
Few days ago I sat down and watched “Julie & Julia” movie on Netflix. It’s about a chef who gets inspired from another chef and starts to write a food related blog every single day for a year (mostly recipes). I thought this is such a great thing, but writing every day blog it might be a little overwhelming for me, so I thought why not one blog a week, maybe a blog where I share with the world photographs that I have taken throughout my week and write a little blog post about it.
One Year of Documenting the Streets of Japan
Those little alleys in the local Japanese neighbourhood’s are so rich with mundane moments, especially in the hours when nobody looks at you or when nobody cares if you take their picture, that’s the time when those mundane everyday moments turn into fantastic documentary photographs.
Autumn Danjiri Festival in Hyogo, Japan

Little Pockets of Comfort
I spend lot of time shooting and practicing at home. And while being at home, I have some personal favourite corners or things that bring me so much joy just by looking at them. And these are not big expensive pieces of designer furniture. No, it’s little
The birds of Mauritius
The birds in Mauritius… They are something else. I wouldn’t say they are friendly, but they are very comfortable coming pretty close to humans.
The art of noticing
I have seen recently some “the art of noticing” reels all over social media and honestly even tho it’s a super popular trend I really enjoy watching them. I enjoy especially because it shows how people recently started noticing the joy of the mundane moments.
That’s all life is about if you ask me.
August in Mauritius
We decided to go this year in August since the weather in Japan at that time is absolutely awful, its hot and humid and unbearable whereas in Mauritius its winter time. Winter meaning it’s around 15-25 degrees - perfect weather.
Documenting Summer Holidays Part #2
Having a bit of a routine helped a bit to plan the next day. These series of photographs below were all taken 2 weeks prior we left for our holiday in Mauritius.
Documenting Summer Holidays
Those second ones are usually my most favourite to photograph. The moments where she is bored out of her mind, or where she is just doing cartwheels 200 times a day, or when…
