The birds of Mauritius
The birds in Mauritius… They are something else. I wouldn’t say they are friendly, but they are very comfortable coming pretty close to humans.
I think they are well aware that they get to sneak some human foods from the tables so they come sometimes super close to you. One extra thing about them - they are beautiful, absolutely gorgeous birds. All of them have such unique bright colours on the feathers, I can honestly look at the birds in Mauritius all day long. Looking back at all the photographs I took during our trip in Mauritius, I have noticed how much drawn I was to them. I captured different looking bird every 2-3 days during our holidays.
Birds featured in this slide show are: Red Whiskered Bulbul, Pink Pigeon, Yellow Fronted Canary, Village Weaver.
