Tokyo Street Photography

As I have mentioned in my previous post, at the end of March we went for a family trip to Tokyo for 5 days. We stayed in Asakusa area, but we did wander around the popular central areas of Tokyo - Shibuya, Shinjuku, Harajuku, Ginza etc. From all of these places that we went around I have to admit that Asakusa is my favourite. It’s such a tranquil and enjoyable area to be, even tho it’s filled with loads of restaurants and bars - still has its charm and serenity. Its not really packed with tourists and walking around at any time of the day it really is a pleasure.
Tokyo its such a contrast compared to the Kansai Area, it’s my third time here but I never really went through the central area. It’s so busy, it’s so cosmopolitan… To my surprise there was a larger foreign population compared to Osaka or Kobe.
At times we shared same views with my husband, that Tokyo is such a busy city and sometimes that can feel a bit overwhelming. Especially for me, as I am used to living at the more quieter cities in Japan - this was really a big change for us.
Having that eye for capturing moments as a Documentary Family Photographer, I feel like it helps a lot when I am capturing moments on the street. Photography does fulfils me a lot and brings me joy, so editing these shots was a breeze.

All these shots below were taken with a 35mm lens.
