Documenting a day at Átoa Aquarium in Kobe

I have heard from friends here and seen many fancy reels online about the Átoa Aquarium in Kobe but never really made the effort to plan a trip there. During Golden Week my daughter had couple of days off of school and since we hadn’t planned any trip anywhere I thought this would be a perfect time for us to go and visit Átoa.
Átoa aquarium is located inside Kobe Port Museum, there is every hour a bus going there, but since this trip was not planned I did not do the research enough so we ended up going to Sannomiya JR station by train and from there we took taxi to the aquarium. The trip with the taxi costed us around 1000 Japanese yen (or 6 euro). Átoa was truly amazing inside, with all different light installations, the sea life and the amazing structure. My favourite area was the Japanese themed area. They also have a book corner with plenty of books about the sea life (bare in mind that most of the books are in Japanese).
Inside the aquarium we spent about 2 hours and then we ended up getting an afternoon snack from the food court on the ground floor.
Below you can see some of the photographs I took on that day.
