One Year of Documenting the Streets of Japan
Well, I haven’t been active on the this blog for few months. Yesterday evening I sat down to look at some photographs I took over this past year and I realized how far I have come since last year and how far more I would like to come. If I am being honest, I don’t spare enough time for photography as I would like. So this is going to be my goal for next year, to shoot… to shoot as much as I can and as I often I can. And to blog :)
Japan has so much to offer when it comes to street photography, and I don’t use that as much as I can. Those little alleys in the local Japanese neighbourhood’s are so rich with mundane moments, especially in the hours when nobody looks at you or when nobody cares if you take their picture, that’s the time when those mundane everyday moments turn into fantastic documentary photographs. Photography means a lot to me, its my escape from reality, and when I go out I don’t put headphones on, I just walk, listen for interactions and immerse myself into the people daily lives.
The photographs below are all taken across Japan, between January 2024 and December 2024.
Happy New Year all!
