Japan Family Photographer | Visiting Hyogo’s Art Museum

It’s been years ever since I wanted to come and visit Hyogo Museum of Art in Kobe.
I admire Tadao Ando work a lot and since I got to know that he has his work in this museum I had to come and visit. Few days ago I had an off day and the weather outside was sunny and not so cold. So I decided to come.

Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art is located in Nada-ku, Kobe. From our home it takes around 15minutes by the local JR train.
So, I took the train, went out in Nada station and walked south towards the sea-side for about 10 minutes. From the time you exit the train station you can already spot the big building at the end of the long street. Along the street there are also little colorful flags on the poles where it says: “Museum Road”. On that day there was an exhibition from the Japanese photographer Nakaji Yasui, so I bought ticket for the exhibition and for the museum (I paid around 2500 yen for both tickets ) and went in. All in all took me about 2.5 hours to see the exhibition plus the museum. It’s relatively big museum and it has stunning art to see. My favourite part was the Tadao Ando Gallery and the exhibition so I will definitely come another day to see some more.

Below you can check some of the pictures I took on that day.
